Vision

The worldwide destruction of habitats through deforestation, overexploitation of natural resources and “overhunting” a growing number of animal and plant species will disappear from the world’s surface. Amongst these species there are many which have not yet been described by science, so many opportunities to gain a better insight in the complexity of different ecosystems are lost forever. Many of the lost plants also mean that we have lost many possible cures for different diseases; a large percentage of modern medicine finds its origin in the enormous variety of plant species in the rain forests.

Through cooperation between nature protection organisations, research institutes, botanical gardens and zoos, it must be possible to develop strategies that can mean the difference between survival and extinction. We would like to take our responsibility and make a contribution to finding a solution for this global problem. With your help it might be possible to make a difference because………………extinction is forever!!!!
